We’re celebrating our first ever acquisition here at the Chopstix Group, and are delighted to announce that the hugely popular Yangtze chain of Chinese restaurants is now part of our team!
Launched in 2006, Yangtze operates nine top quality, quick service Chinese restaurants, all located within shopping centres across the UK and on the island of Ireland. These include Birmingham’s Merryhill Centre, Broadway Centre in Bradford, intu Derby West Mall, Meadowhall Centre in Sheffield, as well as The Abbey Centre in Newtonabbey and the Castle Court centre in Belfast.
To date, our Directors, Sam Elia and Menashe Sadik have focussed growing our Chopstix brand, which offers consumers a faster, fresher, healthier alternative in the food to go sector. We have seen our Chopstix outlet count double in the past 18 months and it now sits at 75, but Menashe and Sam have been looking to add a new brand to the business for a while now!
Menashe says; “Sam and I are absolutely thrilled to make this announcement, as we have been waiting for some time to make our first purchase, as we wanted to be sure that any business we bought would be a good fit. In Yangtze, we know we have found that so this is a really big day for us and everyone involved with the company. We are really delighted that Yantze – another premium restaurant chain – has now joined the Chopstix family!”
